The service
blurfacephotos.com is a tool that blurs, pixelates, censors, redacts or anonymizes faces in photos and video. All processing runs in your browser on your own device; your files are not uploaded to us. The core photo tool is free and needs no account; the full editor and Premium features require signing in (see Accounts, below).
Provided “as is”
The tool is provided as is and as available, without warranties of any kind. Automatic face detection is not perfect: it can miss a face, cover the wrong area, or leave someone identifiable. Always review the result yourself before you share or publish it. You use the tool at your own risk.
Acceptable use
You may use the tool to anonymize faces in images and video that you have the right to use. You must not: use it for anything unlawful; process content you have no right to edit; use it to harass, defame, deceive, stalk or otherwise harm anyone; attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, scrape or overload the service or the API; or resell the free service as if it were your own. We may suspend or end access that breaches these terms.
Your responsibilities
You are responsible for the images and videos you process and for how you use the results. You must have the right to use and edit the files you open, and you must comply with the laws that apply to you, including privacy, data-protection and consent rules. Because detection is automatic and imperfect, you are responsible for checking that every face is hidden well enough before you share or publish a result. If you have an account, keep your login secure; you are responsible for activity that happens under it.
Accounts
The free photo tool needs no account. To open the full editor and to buy or use Premium, you sign in. Authentication is provided by Clerk, a third-party identity provider; we store only a minimal record (your sign-in identifier, email and plan). You must give accurate information and are responsible for keeping your credentials safe.
Premium, billing and renewal
Anonymizing faces in photos is free and unlimited for everyone, and live camera is free too. Premium is a paid subscription that unlocks video export, unlimited batch, full-HD and 4K, removes ads and adds a commercial-use license. Premium is sold and billed through Polar, our merchant of record: Polar processes the payment, issues your receipt and handles any applicable taxes. Your card details are entered on Polar’s checkout and stored by Polar, not by us, and we never see or store them. You choose a monthly or yearly plan at checkout; it renews automatically at the end of each period at the then-current price until you cancel.
Cancellation and refunds
You can cancel Premium at any time from Polar’s customer portal (Polar emails you a link) or by contacting us. After you cancel, Premium stays active until the end of the period you already paid for and is not prorated. Because the free plan lets you try every feature the paid plan unlocks before you pay, we generally do not refund a change of mind. If you were charged in error or a paid feature did not work, email us within 14 days of the charge and we will work with Polar to put it right. Any statutory rights you have (for example EU or UK consumer withdrawal rights) still apply.
Intellectual property
The site, its design and the blurfacephotos.com name belong to us. The images and videos you process remain entirely yours; we never receive them, so we claim no rights over your content.
Limitation of liability
To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, the tool, including any case where a face was not fully hidden. Since your files never leave your device, you remain in control of them at all times.
Not legal advice
Guidance on this site about privacy, GDPR or “safe” ways to hide a face is general information, not legal advice. Anonymizing faces reduces risk but does not guarantee compliance or that someone cannot be re-identified by other means.
